About a week before MaryAnne arrived I decided to start a mini tree of thanks with the boys. It was really for them but it was good for me to slow down in the pre-baby panic and realize that we have so much to be thankful for.

These are the things they were thankful for this year. On the second day Owen called out that he was thankful for his nipples. We spared the tree that shame and told him while we are glad he’s thankful for his nipples we might think of some other options.

We enjoyed a Thanksgiving feast at my brother Ryan’s house with my parents in town from Texas. The cousins enjoyed cuddling MaryAnne and watching a movie together after lunch. I would say we all got our fill of great food.

if you need a good apple cider sangria recipe this one is a good one that we tried this year!

Lizzy and Ruthie even made MaryAnne a bracelet on the rainbow loom!

Happy (belated) Thanksgiving to you and yours!!

pumpkin time! we had friends over Fri night for a fun night of chili and pumpkin carving! We did it early this year to ensure it would get done! The next morning we got up and drove to an orchard in Maryland where we met my aunts for apple picking. I expected the boys to be over the excitement pretty fast but they loved picking. When we got home we made a big batch of applesauce and a dutch apple pie.

little pumpkin update: she isn’t looking so little. Based on my sono this morning girlfriend is measuring big and long like her brothers. My amniotic fluid is too high so that will be monitored but other than that she looks great…and nearly ready. I have started to dilate and she is head down and good to go! Off to walk a few miles!

After leaving Seth’s family we headed on to see my family in Ft. Worth. My brother and sister-in-law had just welcomed our new niece Grace into the world the week before so we arrived just in time for some great cuddles! Graham and Tina are wonderful parents and seem to be taking parenthood in stride! Grace is a sweetie pie and loved to be held and admired! I didn’t get nearly enough pictures of Grace since I was normally trying to hold her. The weather was HOT while we were there so we made the most of indoor activities for the most part, aside from a few pool outings! At the end of the week my grandmother flew in from Florida to meet Grace! We lucked out and got to see her as well.
Lots of my pictures are still on my phone but here are a few to get started!
